Mindi, also called Mendikot, is the partnership game of capturing tens, played with a hidden trump only the picker knows. Four to eight play in two teams, each with their hand on their own phone and the tricks on the big screen.

How to play Mindi
Goal
Two teams, partners sitting alternately. Capture the tens: the team that takes more than half of them wins the hand. The first team to 5 points wins.
The deal
- One ordinary deck. Every card is dealt, so with 6 players the four 2s are left out to make it divide evenly.
- Aces are high. Suits have no order of their own.
The hidden trump
- After the deal, the player after the dealer (the picker) chooses one of their cards and puts it face down. Its suit is trump, and only the picker knows it.
- When you can’t follow the suit led, you may ask for the trump to be revealed before you play. If you ask, you must play a trump if you have one.
- Once revealed, the card goes back into the picker’s hand and its suit is trump for the rest of the hand.
Playing a hand
- The picker leads the first trick. Whoever wins a trick leads the next.
- Follow the suit that was led if you can. If you can’t, play anything.
- The highest trump played after the reveal wins the trick, or the highest card of the suit led if there’s none. A trump-suit card played before the reveal is just an ordinary card.
Winning a hand
- The team with more than half the tens wins the hand. If the tens split evenly, the team with more than half the tricks wins; if those split evenly too, it’s a draw.
- A win scores 1 point. Taking every ten (Mendikot) scores 2, and taking every trick (a whitewash) scores 3.
- Every player on the winning team scores. The first team to 5 points wins the game.
Variations
Picked in the lobby before the game starts.
- Hidden trump: Picker chooses. The picker decides which card to hide. The host can also choose Random card, where one of the picker’s cards is hidden at random.
- Revealing the trump: On request. A player who can’t follow suit may ask for it, and must then play a trump. The host can also choose Automatic, where it’s shown as soon as anyone can’t follow suit and nobody has to play a trump.
- Game to: 5 points. The host can also choose 10 or 15.
- Points: 1 · 2 · 3. What a win, a Mendikot and a whitewash are each worth. The host can set each from 1 to 10.
- Deck: 1 deck. With 8 players, the host can play one deck instead of two, or add number cards past 10.
