Partnership Euchre for four, with both bowers, stick the dealer and going alone. Your hand stays on your phone and the tricks land on the big screen, and if you’re short a fourth, a bot takes the seat.

How to play Euchre
Goal
Four players in two partnerships, partners sitting across from each other. Win at least three of the five tricks, and be the first side to 10 points.
The deck and trump
- Only the Nine up to the Ace of each suit are used: 24 cards. Everyone gets 5, and the next card is turned face up.
- The Jack of trump (the right bower) is the highest card. The other Jack of the same colour (the left bower) is next, and counts as a trump. Then the Ace, King, Queen, Ten and Nine of trump.
Choosing trump
- Starting left of the dealer, each player may order the turned-up card’s suit as trump, or pass. If someone orders it, the dealer picks the card up and throws one away.
- If everyone passes, the card is turned down and each player may name any other suit, or pass. If it comes back round to the dealer, they must name one.
- Whoever chooses trump makes their side the makers.
- The player who chooses trump may go alone: their partner sits the hand out.
Playing a hand
- The player left of the dealer leads. Follow the suit that was led if you can; remember the left bower belongs to the trump suit. If you can’t follow, play anything.
- The highest trump wins the trick, or the highest card of the suit led if no trump was played. The winner leads next.
Scoring
- Makers who take 3 or 4 tricks score 1 point. All 5 tricks (a march) scores 2.
- A march by a player going alone scores 4.
- Makers who take fewer than 3 are euchred, and the other side scores 2.
- The first side to 10 points wins.
Variations
Picked in the lobby before the game starts.
- Game to: 10 points. The host can also choose 5 or 15.
- Stick the dealer: On. When everyone has passed twice, the dealer must name trump. Off, when everyone has passed twice, the deal is thrown in and the next dealer deals.
- Going alone: On. The player who chooses trump may play without their partner, and a march alone scores 4. Off, everyone always plays with their partner.
